Vox Nova steps over the line

By Rusty Tisdale

Morning’s Minion, an outright and enthusiastic supporter of Barack Obama is now calling Sarah Palin an apostate from the Catholic faith.  He doesn’t care about truth.  He cares about destroying the Republican ticket. So what is the truth?

Source:

What church do you attend?
A non-denominational Bible church. I was baptized Catholic as a newborn and then my family started going to non-denominational churches throughout our life.

Pathetic, Morning’s Minion. You are a hack. A shill. A disgrace.

For those with no clue: an apostate rejects the faith which they formally professed.  If a child is baptized and taken away from the Church by her parents, there is no way in hell a Catholic can call that person an apostate.  Morning’s Minion is defaming a person for political gain.

    So, where is the lie?

Baptized Catholic; not Catholic now. That’s apostate.

  2. tizzidale Says:

Henry, you are absolutely wrong and have no idea what you’re talking about.

  3. Rob Says:

    Henry,
Not according to CCC 2089, it’s not. At most, it would be heresy, and even that is a huge stretch, given her age at the time.

  4. Morning's Minion Says:

Yeah, keep defending your fundie friends. I will keep standing up for orthodox Christianity against their monstrous distortions.

  5. tizzidale Says:

MM, you wouldn’t know Orthodoxy if St. John Chrysostom rose from the dead and taught you the Creed from scratch.

Good Grief. IS this the Face of Hope and Change

Oh my! Is this bizarro land? This is a guy… … who is openly supporting another guy… … who did everything in his power to prevent doctors from saving the lives of children who survive abortion… … who also has made it his number one priority to make sure the killing of millions of innocent children doesn’t stop… … and still claims that he’s a Christian. Who the hell do the folks at Vox Nova think they are? Are they smoking some high-grade crack? Oh my! And they are calling everyone else apostate? Wow! This is unbelievable. I always knew they were out-of-line dissenters (definitely should refrain from receiving Communion), but this? Their manager Policratus doesn’t seem to mind either and he sets himself up to be the most educated one of them. Morning’s Minion has already convinced me that he is dishonest about being Irish, now he’s convinced me that he’s dishonest about being Catholic.

  8. Tito Edwards Says:

I didn’t know MM was Catholic.

Is he really Catholic? You guys are joking right?

I thought he was a guest blogger from the Unitarian-Universalist Church for CINO Nova.

  9. Tito Edwards Says:

    …or is it Vox CINO?

    Same difference?

    Probably doesn’t matter.

  10. tizzidale Says:

Well, Policraticus has definitely let it get out of control over there. I think he presents himself as “I’m-far-more-educated-and-erudite-than-you”. But I’ve been reading his stuff (and agreeing with a lot) since before Vox Nova. I only wish they’d head the pleas of Catholics like me who say, “Please, do not vote for Obama.”

  11. joseph Says:

Ha! Looks like they’ve finally pulled the plug on my comments over there and opted for all out censorship. Morning’s Minion apparently doesn’t want to be exposed as a fraud for pretending to be Irish (one of the reasons, I’m sure).

Vox Nova has been called Kos Nova lately. How appropriate.
